CURRICULUM

By developing strong bodies, we also develop strong minds. Not only does gymnastics build muscles, but it also builds confidence, focus,  and discipline. Children that start gymnastics at an early age,  develop good habits and a strong work ethic. Children who participate in gymnastics develop better flexibility, balance and strength. Our staff has a passion for gymnastics and a heart for children.  We want every child to work hard at reaching their full potential.

Our classes are very structured and focused on correct technique.  After the warm up, students will be training on skills at their skill level in each class. Our level system is not competition based but designed to teach developmental gymnastics skills.

LEVEL 1

BEGINNERS’ level that each student will progress through. It may take several months to overcome each level. How fast a student progresses depends on how often a student practices.

LEVEL 2-4

Require more strength, more flexibility and with that said, they also require more practicing. Learning proper gymnastics is a process. It takes months of repetition before the skill is executed correctly and safely. For this reason, we highly recommend encouraging your child to practice in a safe setting at home.  If you would like a recommendation on mats for the home, please reach out to us.

Advancement to the next level is based on the completion of skills in the child’s current level. Your child’s coach keeps an up-to-date chart on each child. The coach can easily give you a progress report.

As their skill level increases, they will be advanced to the next level. There is really no set time frame for advancement. It depends on the child’s natural ability, number of hours of practice each week, and their desire to achieve a higher skill level.

SKILL LEVEL AWARDS FOR COMPLETION OF EACH LEVEL
